Melbourne, Australia – blueAPACHE, a leading managed network and cloud solutions provider for organisations with business critical IT requirements, have extended their partnership with Veeam to offer easier, more accessible and more secure back up and replication services to Australian businesses.
Most businesses do not back up all of their data. Even among those who have backup plans (only around 35% of medium businesses according to Gartner), 70% are not fully confident that their backup and disaster recovery operations are well managed and planned. Considering organisations’ existence is dependent on data, the backup strategy needs to be more than an after-thought in the planning process.
Veeam launched Cloud Connect to enable organisations to automate off-site backups and data replication quickly and easily. The partnership with blueAPACHE means anyone using Veeam version 8.0 can now take advantage this automation and backup directly to blueAPACHE’s Australian Cloud.
Leveraging blueAPACHE’s Cloud infrastructure enables Australian businesses to be sure their critical data is kept in Australia, mitigating the risk of breaching the Privacy Act or worrying about data sovereignty.
“Together with Veeam, we are pleased to be able to help organisations better address their backup and replication services. Our Cloud Connect service makes offsite back up easier than ever before, and being built into our core network, means client data is secure with five nines access and automated redundancy” said Chris Marshall, Managing Director at blueAPACHE. “Being able to partner with Veeam to provide this as a service – which means clients only pay an operational expense for what they use and do not need to invest in the infrastructure – offers clients a genuine benefit over traditional back up methods.”
Users can easily create an off-site copy of their Veeam back-up, or park their backup in the cloud. Cloud Connect allows critical company data to be automatically stored in one of blueAPACHE’s datacenters, primary or as extra backup. Cloud Connect can be used independently of whether creating backups on-premise or at another cloud service provider.
